SEM / SEO Specialist

Nephila Marketing is a small digital marketing management agency that serves the B2B emerging technology industry. We help our clients define, develop and scale their search marketing initiatives with the goal of delivering highly qualified leads to the sales organization. Since 99% of our clients are pre-IPO technology innovators – we are supporting their race to prove return on investment on all marketing programs as they bring their products to market and prove financial viability. This means, as an agency, we’re under some serious pressure to deliver results quickly while gracefully handling the whirlwind of startup demands!

We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist (Contractor or Contract-to-Hire) who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of online advertising, particularly Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Bing, Facebook and programmatic ad accounts. In this role, you will apply your understanding of the online marketplace to develop, launch, monitor and optimize various digital marketing programs.

Job Specifications

• Monitor and optimize advertising account performance, including bid adjustments, targeting, keyword expansion, negatives, A/B testing, budgets, etc.

• Write landing page copy, text ads and image ads

• Manage landing page production, implementation and testing

• Implement new materials into advertising accounts

• Ensure all accounts are following PPC best practices

• Troubleshoot account issues and recommend solutions

• Maintain project timelines and follow up with contributors on deliverables and deadlines

• Collaborate with agency designers, content providers and demand gen teams on campaign production

• Schedule and manage weekly account performance summaries

• Remain up to date on digital marketing trends, including innovations, new technologies and platforms

Tracking and Reporting

• Track account performance and KPIs across all publishers

• Maintain digital marketing reporting platform

• Closed-loop reporting from marketing automation platforms and/or Salesforce.com

• Search Engine Optimization reporting from tracking dashboard for SEO clients

• Track all activities (client and agency)in project management software

• Evaluate market research, test results, and competitive intelligence to adjust digital marketing strategies to meet changing market

• Provide campaign reporting that includes actionable insights and optimization plans

• Create performance reports on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis with recommendations for improvement

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field

• Extremely analytical

• At least five years of equivalent work experience

• Experience with SEO, SEM, display ads, retargeting, and paid social

• Familiarity with multi-touch attribution modeling and measurement

• Knowledge in ad-serving technologies and viewability metrics

• Experience in integrated campaign management

• Excellent time management and project management skills

• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to work well under pressure both independently and in a team setting

• Able to work remotely or on-site with equal proficiency

• Prefers a small agency environment

• Online communication experience, with exceptional written and verbal skills

• Hubspot or Inbound Certification a plus

• Marketo Certification a plus

• Google AdWords and Google Analytics Certified

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Reports to the agency owner
